Washington Redskins
1 (13): DE Brian Orakpo - A former Texas Longhorn will line-up alongside Pro Bowler Albert Haynesworth in a pass rush kind of role. Many thought the converted Orakpo as a linebacker in a 3-4 system, but the Skins want to cause chaos among their divisional quarterbacks at regular intervals. Great pick.
3 (16): CB Kevin Barnes - nickel corner with great size, will most likely be a special teamer in his first year. A good potential.
Next steps: After Orakpo andBarnes, there is a Redskins draft of mostly long-shot players, projects and special teamer. Without 2 Round pick and 4 attacks late on day two, the Redskins draft really revolves around Orakpo. While the fans may have wanted to see what it takes to trade down and collect more, I believe, we're 13 and picked up a starter to add to an already stacked defense I was very clever.
Draft Grade: B
Philadelphia Eagles
1 (19): WR Jeremy Maclin - No one was more surprised than we get from this. AndyReid is not one for the preparation of the recipient too early, but if a player like Maclin falls this far, you have to break the old habits of picking lineman and grab the best player available. Maclin will be an instant starter in the Eagles pass first offense, and should accordingly all over the field. Maclin is a lot like DeSean Jackson, only bigger.
2 (21): RB LeSean McCoy - perhaps the only place that McCoy could play early. He has big head, big hands, and the size to punch holes up the middle. Many had wanted toHe stayed in school, but one or two years behind Westbrook is instructive.
5 (17): TE Cornelius Ingram - Another offensive weapon? Fans have to lose their sanity. Andy Reid has finally passed the improvement of crime is growing, with quality weapons for McNabb. Ingram shares fell because of an ACL injury, but scouts should have overlooked the violation as his abilities as a receiver, are excellent. Ingram is one of the top tight end in this draft input.
Next steps: Trade with the28. Pick to Buffalo for Jason Peters gives the Eagles a high degree of the bat, but spending the first 3 picks on offensive weapons, seals the deal. The Eagles also earned Ellis Hobbs of NO for the late round picks, while also add a great nickel corner Victor Harris. Andy Reid had the best draft in years.
Draft Grade: A + Includes Jason Peters and Ellis Hobbs Trade
New York Giants
1 (29): WR Hakeem Nicks - Excellent receiver, and fits into the Giants systembetter than you think. Nick has a great vision, plays hard, and adapts well to poorly thrown balls (in the way you want to read). Fans could Braylon or Anquan wanted, but Nick will do fine too. Great pick.
2 (13): LB Clint Sintim - Steal, we had Sintim going to the hawks in the first round. This 6233, 260 lb linebacker beef is the Giants, and will see in a monster on every man for himself.
3 (28): OT William Beatty - Another great pick had; Beatty also a first classgive the Giants an excellent start to the draft. Beatty starts most likely to watch or depth are used, but he could think of right tackle to start earlier than many.
3 (21): WR Ramses Barden - Should the field be found soon, the hole was filled Plaxico jump ball skills in the red area. Good for picking.
Next steps: The Giants did not quit Ramses Barden with grabbing excellent value in this draft class, on 2 Day of the G-Men snagged TE Travis Beckum for depth and RB Andre BrownWho could replace Derrick Ward.
Draft Grade: A + We loved the Giants draft, as they were patient with the need for more productive receiver and linebacker.
Dallas Cowboys
3 (5): LB Jason Williams - Outstanding speed and quickness, the Cowboys were looking for depth in the draft, and Williams was a great start.
3 (11): OT Robert Brewster - 50 game 4 years starter at Ball State as the offensive tackle. Will probably be postponed in order to protect them, but has the size, smarts and feetplay at the next level. Good for picking by depth.
4 (1): QB Stephen McGee - waste of a good player, Romo is young, and there is no need for a backup QB after trading closes for Kitna. Great project for the future, but could have developed later.
4 (10): DE Victor Butler - Another player who will contribute on special teams, too far to see playing time on defense.
4 (20): DE Brandon Williams - experts say he should be able to stay in school, but the Cowboys see something in this child.Williams has an excellent pass rushing skills and a good frame to add muscle. Could one of the pearls pick of the draft class, well.
Next steps: While no one would pick the Cowboys thought through a day without, two days proved to be very productive. The Cowboys have received far too long without depth, and that this project should help the small things that win ball games to improve. After the development 5 players in the middle rounds, the Cowboys added another 7 players with rounds 5-7,packed everything from a kicker, a backup tight end. The time will the ultimate test for this draft, as many of these players may not cut per week. I am sure that is not talked to many fans.
Draft Grade: C-up would have acted.
