Dallas Cowboys remain strong without Owens

Despite not winning one playoff game since quarterback Troy Aikman was the Dallas Cowboys still manages to steal the spotlight in a way or another. The Dallas Cowboys went into the Coliseum for the start of their 09 'season. With a larger "spaceship like" stadium and party atmosphere comes high expectations for the actual team. Jerry Jones is not shy about money - hopefully the cowboys on field services can the level of the new stadium.

The Cowboyshave a good quarter back Tony Romo - who is vulnerable to interception in three games from time to time. Romo can play and has shown signs of a top quartile in the league. The running game of the Cowboys is fantastic, they are on average around 200 yards per game. If they can keep an average of 200 yards per game remains to be seen - a valuable running game is a quarterbacks best friend.

The Cowboys defense should actually improve, even with QB Tony Romo, RB Marion Barber, RB FelixJones, TE Jason Witten, WR Patrick Crayton and WR Roy E. Williams - they may not be able to score from each opponent Sunday.

The Cowboys play in the very tough NFC East with the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles - play those teams twice earned in the year, as shown by the Cowboys are struggling in the NFC.

The question of the Cowboys need to be answered: who are the changing leaders. Romo should take the next step to manage the game and to play ifnecessary and not "Tony Sales". The Cowboys have a very good and competent team that many games to play, if they can win their potential. Cowboys need to go to the end their playoff drought - more than 10 years without winning a playoff game for the Dallas Cowboys in unacceptable.
